Choosing the right domain name is our "email address"

If you want to provide a website on the Internet, you need a domain, an email address. But what is a domain? What are they needed for?

To simplify the process of calling web addresses for the user, a system of domain names (DNS) has been developed. We can better remember the name, but computers know only numbers. To do this, you need a system that can convert a domain name, for example " e-commerce-sites.com ", into a so-called IP address "217.26.48.183". Then the servers with this IP address can access other computers on the network. This allows the computer to find the appropriate server, which subsequently issues a website for "e-commerce-sites.com".

The domain must

• have a manageable number of characters and make sense;
• easy to remember and easy to reproduce;
• Opportunities for better ranking in the search engines -> Some new domain extensions will allow you to include an additional keyword in the URL.
